Solve puzzles to uncover the mystery behind it and choose the ending you prefer.
This is an experimental indie game, deeply inspired by P.T. and Lovecraft.
The only mechanics are:

Q/A & Testing
In this project the core was to testing the game as much as we can, not only to see if the players know what to do but also to see if the core mechanics are fun even if the player can only move and see.
We add screen shake sound effects, visual effect and the voice of the "alien" that sometimes talk to the players and give hints but sometimes lead the player to fail the puzzle.
we try to make multiple test at each stage of the game with people that doesn't know anything about the game ftp see if our games goes in the right direction and if the players know what to do or if the have done something right.
Puzzle Design & Game Design
We decided to make a scheme to divide ache action that the player need to complete a puzzle in all the loops of the game.
In this way we know if the player has to make too many stuff on a loop and see if a loop is too confusing for a player.

Here is the full scheme the numbers are the loops and the yellow box on top are the puzzles.
Inside each green box there are the action that the player has to make to finish this part of the puzzle.

VFX
These are some of the effect that i made in the course of this jam. I use the unity particle system and create all the materials for the effects.
